What we do

Our main goal is to literally save the lives of very needy children specially orphans, by satisfying some of their most basic needs: hunger, thirst, illness, and education.

We believe that those needs have to be satisfied in the right order for them to be worthwhile; the most basic need is food, no child can survive hunger, and if they do they will die because of illnesses or strong medicines; after they have been fed, their little tummies can take harsh medications such as the ones for AIDS and malaria; and finally, education which is definitely the best tool and gift anyone can receive. With their bellies full and their bodies healthy, they can now play and concentrate in school and have a future!

How we work

We have a Director who resides in Mozambique. Then we have a project coordinator for each projects, they know the kids, their stories and their needs. These coordinators help us identify the neediest orphans in each community.
Once a case comes to our attention, the child undergoes a selection process in which we evaluate firsthand the situation of the kid, his/her health, who is he/she living with, the necessities of the family, the number of people living in the house, and the house conditions. Up to this point, we have visited every prospect’s house to make sure we help the neediest. After we put the profiles together, we review them again to make sure that we are helping the right people. After the child has been approved a second time, his/her profile is uploaded to our database for sponsor matching.

Our Director, Father Polo, and the coordinators are constantly checking and reporting the health and conditions of the children in the projects.

We (from the administrative team) made the commitment to visit our projects on a consistent basis at least once every year to personally check that everything is being run correctly successfully.
